Melencolia's Magic Square
It wasn't very hidden, was it? From the style of the engraving, I had expected something at least as difficult as the Highlights hidden pictures, where a ball of yarn is hidden in a bowl of spaghetti, or a drinking straw is hidden in a straw broom.
i know... i was already familiar w/ this engraving when i read the book, and i was like... you know, for a genius scientist like katharine, not being able to see where 1514 was on the engraving (in 2 places, no less!) made her seem less of a genius and more of an idiot... or at least non-detail-oriented (or more blind than the freemason priest!) ;)
